Invent and describe a new food. Make them appreciate your viewpoint. Write about not giving up. Write about a piece of jewelry. Write about a time your parents embarrassed you. Describe a great fort you built for a great game you played as a child. Write about repeating patterns that occur in life.

If you could take a dream vacation, where would you go? Write about a promise you want to make to yourself and keep. Be a building you know well. Write about the games people play — figuratively or literally. Visit your favorite blog or your feedreader and craft a story, journal entry, or poem based on the latest blog post you read.

Read a book and circle some words on a page. Make up a silly rhyming poem using made up words. Think about an incident that happened to you and exaggerate in the telling.
